The Wedding of Joanne & Neil

The wedding of Joanne and Neil saw me back at Forest Hills on top of Frodsham Hill overlooking the Mersey estuary with Liverpool on the horizon. This was the third time for me at Forest hills in the past two months and each wedding has been totally unique and wonderful. A lovely lovely couple to photograph and I really admired Neil for his fantastic speech even though he was suffering with a cold. It was plain for all to see and hear how much he loves Joanne and his little son, William - who was a little star on the day. This wedding brought back some emotional memories for me as Jean, the Registrar, oversaw the proceedings at my own wedding. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day ... the weather was fantastic as were the Bride & Groom and guests. Joanne looked stunning and Neil and William looked positivley dapper!

Hope you love the highlights guys!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lynch!

A real urban wedding with a touch of soul. Gina and Mervyn are real scousers and I simply love shooting scousers! As I have mentioned before, I'm half scouse and I love the humour that is inevitable when 100 or so Liverpudlians get together and the beer starts flowing; Day do dou don't de dou! They certainly do!

Gina has got to be one of the nicest brides I have ever met...calm and together, with a cracking smile, a real warm personality and you can really see how much she loves Mervyn in the pictures. The wedding took place at Our Lady and St Nicholas Church on the dock road followed by photographs in the church gardens and god was it windy! If you've ever been down on the docks when the wind picks up you'll know what I mean. I had to resort to sign language when setting up the groups shots as the wind whistled past our ears. Thanks for being so brave guys...it was great fun and the photographs look amazing. The wedding breakfast took place across the road in the Atlantic Tower Thistle Hotel. The views over the city from the reception room were stunning ... a cracking venue for a wedding and one I shall remember and recommend. The evening do was strictly RnB and usually I feel like a cool dude but at this one I'm afraid I was overshadowed by Merv and his gang strutting their funky stuff.

Hope you love the pics guys...we know you will!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Tracey

After over a year I was back at the incredible Soughton Hall for the wedding of Emma and Ross. Soughton Hall is a breathtaking venue - An ivy clad mansion nestled in the beautiful North Wales countryside boasting immaculate landscape gardens and a tree lined lane leading up to the
hall that seems to go on forever. Michael Owen (he lives in lower Soughton Hall) can often be heard revving his helicopter when he has nothing better to do on his days away from the training ground.

Emma, the beautiful local bride from Wrexham was to marry Ross, a real Essex boy geeza! I really enjoyed shooting these two as they are of similar age to me and on my level which is great as this plays a big part in the whole image making process: if we all feel comfortable in each others company then the pictures just appear in front of me. These guys really had high standards and this was clear to see throughout the whole day ... everything just oozed with quality and style.

Guys, you look amazing together in the pictures and we are so pleased with the results ... we hope you love them as much as we do. John, thanks for the apples! We made three crumbles and they were delicious!

The Wedding of Cora & Matthew

Another fantastic wedding at Forest Hills in Frodsham and another windy one! I started the day as I always do at the brides house where I was greeted by a hugely exited Cora, the bridesmaids and her parents. Cora and Matt were to wed at St Pauls in Helsby - 30 seconds walk from her house or a 3 minute drive, but would a bride ever want to walk to church on her big day ... I don't think so! A woman deserves to be chauffered on her big day!

After an emotinal church wedding we headed for the windy heights of Forest Hills, overlooking the Mersey and Liverpool. The weather didn't know if it was summer or winter but we manged some fantastic bride and groom shots and I really enjoyed working with Cora and Matthew as they were so enthuasiastic and full exitement for great photographs.

The day finished on an absolute high with a highly thought out suprise Micheal Jackson Thriller Routine by Matthew and his pals on the dance floor (Cora works as a dance teacher).....sheer gold guys!

The Wedding of Amy & Paul

I was really looking forward to this wedding as they Amy and Paul had chosen a rather exotic location to marry in Ness Gardens on the Wirral, followed by their recpetion at Hoole Hall. What an amazing place to get married in and a photographers dream! The place is a mass of colours and shapes and on this particular day the light was also on my side ... I could have spent all day shooting here ... bit geeky I know but we photographers get excited by these things! My best memory from this wedding was the dramatic arrival of Amy and the bridesmaids. The actual ceremony took place next to a pond at the foot of a sort of 'colleseum' of flowers and plants. Amy entered through a set of stunning cast iron gates and I managed to capture a stunning shot of Amy and her multi coloured bridesmaids as the passed through the gates at the foot of the steps which led her down to her proud looking husband to be, Paul.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome on your big day guys. It was a pleasure to work with you both in such stunning surroundings.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell!

Last Tuesday saw the small but perfect wedding of Emma and John at All Saints Church in Hoole, followed by the reception at Chester Race course. John is a neighbour of ours and I'm really pleased I was able to help him out with such short notice... they only booked me a couple of weeks before their big day! I loved shooting their wedding at All Saints as the vicar was super laid back and allowed me the freedom to shoot during the service...a luxury not afforded at many weddings now due to many vicars/priests having bad experiences with unprofessional wedding photographers. Thankfully he could see that I don't fall in to that catagory, so god bless you!

Emma looked stunning as she arrived at the church with the afternoon sun shining....bless her, she was nervous but soon relaxed when she was on Johns arm. After the service we headed over to Alexandra Park for some relaxed photographs and general banter. A great day guys and thanks for the free burger, beer, and bangers and mash. I hope you are both having a good old rave in Ibiza! Here are your highlights ...

The Wedding of Hayley & Mike

I was back at one of my local venues again last Saturday, Forest Hills Hotel, for the wedding of Hayley and Mike. Being half scouse I felt very much at home shooting this wedding as Hayley and Mike are scouse through and through. A hundred scousers all under one roof having a good ole knees up ... good times! Thanks for making me feel so welcome on the day guys, you were a pleasure to work with and Hayley, I think you hold the record for the most amount of flowers at a wedding ... I've never seen so many! It was a windy one on top of Frodsham Hill but the views over the river Mersey towards Liverpool are breathtaking and the surrounding countryside make this a lovely venue for weddings.
